[Story of original Springerforks]
When attaching normal 74 Springer to sportster after '04, there were big problems of interference with handle lock and frame, high costs due to extensive machining, and almost no steering angle.
By reviewing the position of the stem shaft, this product achieves bolt-on without any processing, enables handle lock, practical steering angle, and appropriate braking ability by a dedicated brake kit, achieving realistic cost setting.
The top tee (top bridge) is also a special casting design, and the special riser allows for a wide range of styles from compact handlebars to classic styles.
<Notes regarding brakes>
Springer forks are much weaker than telescopic forks, which are currently used on almost all factory models. If a strong braking force is applied, a large burden will be placed on the rear arm, so the special kit uses a caliper that is weaker than ordinary ones. On that basis, unlike a regular Sportster, please drive with 30% braking in the front and 70% in the rear.
This product is a front fork with a structure from about 80 years ago. Roads and traffic conditions are also very different from those days. Also, the feeling of operation will change significantly, so please drive safely until you get used to the controls (and of course afterwards).
<Notes ABS models>
Due to the springer fork mechanism, the ABS sensor moves with the wheel and rocker arm when the fork extends,
The sensor determines that the front end has locked up, and ABS momentarily activates, causing the brake lever to move back.
(This may occur when the driver goes over large bumps while applying the brakes.)
Since this problem did not occur in normal driving tests, and Springer recommends that the rear brake should be the main brake force, we do not consider this to be a problem.
However, if you are at all concerned about it, please do not install it.
ABS works correctly when the front brake locks.
<Notes Installation>
Please ask a professional store to install this product.

Failure to apply grease, screw locks, etc. may cause serious accidents. We do not guarantee any problems caused by failure to follow the precautions.
<Notes neck bearing>
When installing the springer fork, the neck bearing must be installed into the springer fork body.
Depending on the year, the bearing may not come off cleanly from the under stem. In this case, please prepare a stock or stock-compatible bearing separately.
<Notes Bearing wear>
Springer forks are considerably heavier than normal telescopic forks and have less fork stroke,The lack of damper damping causes the stem bearings to wear out more quickly.
Replace the springer forks earlier than the manual says, and grease them more frequently.
<About compatible gasoline tanks>
The XL1200X stock tank other than the stock peanut tank cannot be installed as is because the attached risers will interfere with the tank.
The attached risers interfere with the tank and cannot be installed without modification. Please replace the tank before installation.
