This custom motorcycle was created as a serial project for “Mr. Bike” by Motor Magazine co.
Based on the editor-in-chief's XL883L, our original parts were developed.

It all started with a phone call from Mr. Matsushita (chief editor).
He was talking on a custom motorcycle in conjunction with a magazine project.

We asked him not only to finish the custom bike, but also to “commercialize” each part of the bike.

First, we discussed the direction of the project and secured an XL883L to serve as the base vehicle.

Once the project started, our first task was to acquire data on the vehicle body.
Our product development process uses a 3D scanner to create parts that fit the body of the vehicle even better.

After the data acquisition of the vehicle body was completed, the first step was to create an original Fuel tank for the injection model.
The FI model's tank has a pump embedded in it, so it was necessary to install it.

Create a design on the computer and pursue the ideal shape.

Once the design is complete, the next step is to create the actual tank shape using a 3D printer.
In the past, we used to make them by hand from a single steel plate, but that is no longer necessary. What is important is the design capability for best shape.

The same procedure was used to begin production of the Seat.

However, mounting the seat requires the production of a special seat frame.

The required mounting kits are produced and actually installed on the vehicle body.

Fenders, steering wheel, and headlights were also designed, and the progress along the way was shown to Mr. Matsushita.

Exterior parts, to be made of FRP, are completed. Mass production begins at the factory.
While waiting for the FRP to be completed, the production of the muffler was started.

Create a rough shape by hand and look for improvements.
Once the shape of the muffler, which is important for expressing sportiness, is determined, we aim to complete it using our own equipment.

Pipe bender Machine are useful in the production of exhaust pipes.
Few custom stores in Japan have this machine.

FRP parts are completed one after another.

The painting of each part was completed and finally unveiled to Mr. Matsushita.
The magazine project was successfully completed.
